Wow, those guys just couldn't catch a break from stepping on those mines.. Looks like lots of returning soldiers are going to have prosthetic legs in civilian life. In my opinion, that Bradley driver could have done a much better job of backing up closer to the guys on the ground - have one guy on the back ramp (lowered a foot or two off the ground) acting as a ground guide to the driver and back right up to the guys so they only have to take a short step forward and up into the Bradley.
Do they make a set of "vr goggles" that can be used to fly a drone? I have a real problem seeing my phone (sun, shadows, small size) when flying the drone and this causes me to lose track of where it's at. By the time I realize I don't know where it's at it's stuck in a tree or crashed into a roof. It seems to me that wearing a set of vr type goggles would let me see what the camera sees and allow me to fly it like I'm actually inside it and flying it.
So, how does the communication work here? I have some stuff I wanted to send you for the landmines article.
